[the look which she gives Kanaya is as flat as she can possibly make it with a fever burning her up and sort of distracting from the whole thing.

she hates being sick in the first place, but she hates somebody fussing over her even more. that never happened when she was growing up, and at this point she doesn't know how to deal with it.]

I guess nobody ever told you the ultimate secret to helping out, did they? I'll let you in on it: it's leaving me alone.

And why is that? Do you suffer from some sort of mercury-permeated heat-gauge-based trauma?

Actually I suffer from an intolerable fussbudget based trauma. You hovering around here is just triggering it and making this illness even worse on me. [look how serious she is. so serious. the most serious ever.]

Oh dear. Then it seems today will be a day for overcoming emotional hurdles.

Actually I think I'm going to interpret moment of peace differently than you and just have a nap. Makes things easier for everyone that way. [good to know that being sick doesn't make her any less difficult to deal with]

To my understanding, rest is as important a factor towards the physical recovery of humans as it is for trolls, so you might as well go and do that. I hope you realize I'll still be here when you wake up, though.

Doubt that. I made sure to take some pills for the pain, so you ought to be taken care of in an hour or so.

Yes, it would be quite convenient for you if all that was needed to banish me from your surroundings were an orally-consumable chemical substance, wouldn't it? Tragically, my presence is not so easily exorcised.

Sure it is. All I have to do is close my eyes and wait for someone that looks vaguely upset pass by on the street and you'll go running out after them. Easy as that.
