[ Lyric has never been good at slowing down. There's always been something to do - an exam to study for, a project to push forward, a friend to make time for - and never enough time to tackle everything. An expanded lifespan did little to ease this pressure. If anything, it made her even more aware to the passage of time, the hours and days and weeks she's missed while under the Ferrywoman's thumb.

These cool, gentle hands, wound in her hair and trailing down her spine, are the only ones that can hold her in place. That can make her truly appreciate her extra years, knowing she'll have someone by her side through it all.

She shivers, breathing out a soft sigh as her fangs scratch her lip. Her teeth aren't nearly as sharp, but she teases with a nip of her own as she presses their bodies closer together. Slow is fine, but she'd like to melt into her too, thanks. ]

[A single shuddery inhale is Lyric's reward for her teasing nip. Aurelia's eyes half open, pupils blown as she pulls the smaller woman closer, bodies flush. The hand in her hair tightens, pulling her head back to expose Lyric's neck for Aurelia's lips to explore, while the hand on her back dips underneath the hem of her shirt to trace a line over the small of her back.

Small escalations, even as her tongue gently swipes across a vein, Aurelia can only be rushed so much. An immortal from birth, whose mind has always worked on the scale of centuries... It takes someone like Lyric to motivate her. To drag her from the trench and bring her to a brave new world. As are places a teasing nip of her own against Lyric's shoulder, she marvels at how lucky she is to have found her, to have made this bond as precious as any piece of gold.]
