What am I supposed to wash it down with?

You're not supposed to wash it down, it's liquid. It tastes kinda gross but it'll work better if you don't dilute it.

And you can't have alcohol with decongestants anyway!!

[ Holding her nose, eying the liquid suspiciously. ]

Says me!! There's a drug in the Nyquil that slows down your heart rate and you're not supposed to have alcohol with it you could die.

[ Groans! Faceplant against the blankets again- careful! She's gonna spill the tiny Nyquil cup at this rate! ]

Oh my God I am going to stick this up your nose. What the hell would make you say something like that? Don't you care about yourself? About the people that are your friends?

[ Good, get it away from her. It smells rancid. Raises her head, hair disheveled, eyebrows up. ]

[Just huffs and rolls his eyes, tossing the cup at a trashcan and making a face at her.]

I'm trying to help you, because you're sick, and you're making jokes like "let me die"! I dunno if you can remember this because you're kind of drunk all the time, but a lot of us have had people we care about die? And I'm kind of sick of it, so it's not a funny joke to me.

[ Surprised at John's tossing of the medicine, but her expression evens out when John finished his little hissyfit. Level, poker face stare. No, hadn't thought of that, but is definitely thinking of it now. ]

Yeah. My mom died too. And for the record, it's not something you forget with booze, though not for my lack of trying. But hey, thanks for reminding me.

[ If this was a comic book there would be icicles dripping from her words right about now. Snakes a hand out to grab the NyQuil bottle from John, taking off the top of it herself. ]
