► They are now, for some odd reason, sick (headache, fever, runny nose, cough, whatever you want).
► Another character replies and is struck with the sudden urge to take care of them (bringing them soup, extra blankets, Sudafed, sexual healing, what have you).

[ Sinks down against the blankets, trying to pull them around her like a solid fortress to block out that weird look on John's face. Nope, not gonna look at it. ]

Yeah, sure. Sorry.

[The 'weird look' stays for another handful of seconds before he moves forward, reaching out to slip his hand under her hair and check her temperature against his own.]

...you're still pretty warm. The Nyquil should help, and it'll help you sleep. Do you want anything else...?

[ Starts at the contact, but quickly tries to play it off that that didn't just happen. Sulky little expression, he's right, she is feeling like maybe sleep is a possibility in the near future. Cuddles down under the blankets. ]

To be not sick, I guess?

[He smiles a little bit at her.]

Then rest, and let me make you some soup to eat when you wake up.

[ Stomach growls in response. That actually would be pretty nice. Flushed pink (well at least she's got some color to her), tiny nod. ]

[He smiles a bit more.]

...yeah. Just no more jokes about dying.

I've got WAY better jokes than that when my brain's not boiling.

[ Yawn. ]

Good. Now take a nap, and I'm gonna go make you some soup. You like chicken noodle?

[ Snuggles back down against the blankets, sleepy nod. ]

Who doesn't like chicken noodle?? Only like.. stupid Batterwitch drones wouldn't like that junk.

Okay good. I make a mean chicken noodle soup. You rest, and I'll be back with that in a little while, okay?

[ Vague noise she heard him, but whether or not she is awake enough to understand him is totally up in the air. Eyes closed. ]
