[...What he wanted to ask Archer seemed like a good idea before, but the thought of it now just makes him fidget a little, tense up, and have a difficult time actually making eye contact with Archer. He puts on a straight face, but it doesn't hold much weight.

Hopefully Archer's too sick to notice.] Do you need anything?

[More like he's too sick to care as much as he wants right now. He settles back and winces] Tea, if it's not too inconvenient.

How do you make it?

[...Really, Silver. Really]

There's an electric kettle in the kitchen. Put water in there and set it to boil.

[tsuntrader]

[Nod. He immediately goes off to do so, and it's but a minute before he comes back. He can leave it unattended for a minute.

Now what?]

[You can't be serious]

There's a blue knob on the kettle. Push that down to make the water boil. When it's done, put a tea sachet in a mug and pour the water over it.

[Alright, alright. It's not long before he returns with a cup- mug? some drinking contraption- of tea and offers it to Archer.]

[During the wait, Archer couldn't help opening up the album and flipping through the pages. He looks through the pictures fairly often, but with how busy Rocket affairs have been, it's been a long while. Archer gives the mug a suspicious look, checking it over, but it looks fine overall]

You were a little light for a newborn. Ariana was a little young to admit she had to give up some bad habits from the start.

[...Blink. It's nothing Silver expected to hear from Archer, but it definitely grabs his attention.]

[Giving a little backstory is better than Silver staring at him all the time. Archer flips through the last few pages] She was living the life of high-class parties as a means to get by. Motherhood is essentially the opposite.

[tsuntrader]

[The urge to add his opinion comes and goes, but he still says nothing. For once, he's legitimately listening to what Archer has to say.]

Giovanni couldn't make it in time, so I brought her to the hospital.

[They wished that Giovanni would miraculously arrive quickly, but Ariana couldn't wait any longer. Rocket business is a first priority, after all]

...You were there when I was born?

[He shifts uncomfortably] I held Ariana's hand during it.

[tsuntrader]

[...Staring at Archer a bit more. He... No, he can't say he didn't expect that. For some part of him, that almost feels... Right.]

...Did you take care of me when I was little? [Really little. ...He can't remember. He'll probably never remember, given the age he was, but... Something about his question also rings "right".]

It was part of my duties, yes. [He flips back and pulls out one picture - an Admin and a young boy at a table covered with textbooks. Very few pictures show much of Silver's face as an extra precaution against people knowing an heir existed at the time]

[tsuntrader]

That's why you put up with me and fuss over me, isn't it? It's one of your duties. You're doing it for my father. [And that's all there is to it. ...But that can't be right. Why take such good care of these pictures? Why keep them at all? They're more related to him than they are to his dad.]

Don't assume such shallow things.

[tsuntrader]

If not that, simply because "I'm the heir."

You're more than just the heir. Accept that or stop asking about it.

[He sighs and slides back down into the covers] Not now, Silver...

[tsuntrader]

You always say not now. [But his tone isn't argumentative; he's just stating a fact. He won't push it. Not today.]

Because you won't understand. [Leave him alone, he's sick and miserable]

Because I completely understand it now and you have something to lose by trying to explain it, right? [Nope.]
