So how are YOU going to propose to your darling dearest, after being together for so long? Well...

Scenarios:

1. Down on One Knee

Traditionally. Either in public or privately, one of you has taken the daring risk of becoming completely vulnerable in the midst of the other. You've got the perfect ring tucked into your coat jacket, and now all that's left is to see how the other reacts.

2. Cake

After a long, very expensive dinner, all that's left is dessert. In one bite in particular, you feel a hard...something hit your teeth. Upon investigating this strange object, you find a beautiful ring covered in cake in your hand. Look up, and you'll find your significant other looking at you with those adorable goo goo eyes you just love.

3. Fortune Cookie

It's your average night at the local Chinese resturant, nothing too special. And of course, every American knows that a good Chinese meal is never over until you eat the fortune cookie. But on this night, you crackopen your cookie, surprised to find there's a lovely little ring looking back at you. The slip of paper that goes with all fortune cookies reads a simple: "Will you marry me?" (in bed???)

4. During the Game

In the midst of the tired players taking their much earned break at half time, and the seemingly hundreds of birthday wishes flying past on the large screen, one message in particular will stand out to you. " ____ will you marry me?" And when you turn to your lover, heart thumping loudly, you'll see a huge ring presented before you.

5. In a Book

Just a quiet night together, playing some games, reading a few books. Upon locating a particular book, you crack it open, only to find that the pages have been hollowed out, leaving only a beautiful ring, and a delicate note saying "Will you marry me?" in its place.

6. During the Movies

A.k.a MysteryGuitarMan on Youtube's most adorable proposal. You've prepared a little scene at the beginning of the movies, and had the people in charge play in between movie previews. The lights go up, buddy, and now it's your time to shine!

7.One Balloon

Better known as "the most adorable scene in Super Junior's No One music video." You've got tons of balloons, and together you and your honey let them go fly into the sky. But why didn't you let the last one go? I'll say that ring attatched to the end has something to do with it!

8. Anything!

There is no doubt in my mind that I have missed out on some really cute proposals, so make your own up!

[ Not that the destination is the important part. It's the journey that matters more. And part of the journey is receiving all the love from Emmet, so he leans over and tenderly kisses Cilan on the lips. ]

[A secret? My, that just makes us even more curious...

And he's about to say so too but judging by the way Emmet is leaning over now, it looks like it's kissing time. Your affectionate tastes are most assuredly well-received as Cilan smiles and leans in a little himself so that he can kiss Emmet back as well. We shouldn't be the only ones feeling loved here, and of course he would want to give a token of thanks for even putting all of this together for us, let alone just being here with us... ♥]

After a bit Emmet pulls away, but not too far. He's still close enough to pepper Cilan's face with kisses. ] I love you! [ In between every few kisses, he says it again. "I love you." "I love you." "I love you." It's something that he never wants Cilan to forget. ]

[That's kind of a ticklish taste to the palate, Emmet, but he more than appreciates your affectionate kisses. With you around, there's no way he could ever possibly forget that he is, in fact, loved. Cilan makes to wrap his arms around Emmet in a hug, as best as he can from where he's sitting.]

And I love you too, Emmet. [And don't you ever forget that either, okay?]

[ Emmet will always know that Cilan loves him, he promises. It's like the way Ingo loves him, but different, leaving him warmer and fuzzier on the inside. Like there were Joltiks skittering around his heart.

He knows this, and yet the smile on his face brightens when he hears Cilan say those words. ]

I want to [ kiss ] be with you [ kiss ] forever! [ kiss. The overhead sign behind him lights up, showing... hearts? Emmet reaches into his pocket and offers Cilan a little gift-wrapped box. ] I got this for you.

A gift? My, how sweet of you~ [We'll have to remember to get a gift for you too soon! Normally he'd ask first if it's okay for him to open it now, but...no, maybe he does feel just a little selfish and doesn't want to wait to see what it is. So he accepts it happily so he can open and take a look inside the inner-most box...and judging from the look on Cilan's face now, he does seem to be a little surprised.] ...A ring?

[ No, wait, that's not the point here. Or it's part of it, at least, but the main thing is-- ] Will you marry me, Cilan?

[ Emmet slips off the seat and out of the hug, going down on one knee in front of Cilan. ...Normally this is done before the proposal, but well. This is Emmet. ]

H-huh? [Well congrats, that definitely catches him off guard. Did we actually hear that right? He blinks a bit slowly, the components of the mental train of thought falling into place as he looks down at the ring again and then back up. For a split second, he doesn't know what to say.]

I...Emmet, are you serious? [You're not just joking, right...?]

[ Emmet nods his head, smiling away as usual. But he seems a bit more nervous than usual. ] I'm serious! I want to be with you forever.

[Well Cilan is definitely pretty red in the face by this point. Emmet actually seems nervous, so he very well could be serious right now.

It's almost unbelievable--he was just seriously asked to get married with Emmet, one of the Subway Bosses and someone that he's deeply admired and loved for quite a long time. And of all the people to choose in this world, Emmet would want to be married to us? As strange as this may be to others, (and so very like Emmet to propose like this), he can't imagine an occasion where he was happier than he is right at this moment.

It takes a moment to get his tongue working again, but--]

Th-this is a bit of an unexpected taste, but I'm honored that you'd want to marry someone like me... [no wait, try again] I would very much like to be with you forever too, Emmet, and continue along the same tracks as yours. So... [Oh my god this is embarrassing, things we never knew we'd be saying in our life, but at least he's smiling:] My answer is yes. I would love to have the chance to marry you. [Provided that you are actually serious about this, of course.]

[ Emmet is so serious about this, and when he finally hears that yes he grins and throws his arms around him tight.

aaaah it worked aaaaah he said yes aaaaah aaaaaaaaah aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!! For once Emmet's speechless, nuzzling his cheek against Cilan's because words aren't enough for this moment, for this joy that he feels inside. ]

[Cilan laughs at his reaction, but of course he is more than happy to accept Emmet's cheek nuzzling and hugging. He even makes to wrap his own arms around the other as well. We're so happy oh my god is this the real life or is this just fantasy...

Of course now he's also thinking about all the organizing and planning that (mostly likely us will be tasked with) will have to be done for things, like the engagement party or the wedding and when it would be and invites for our friends and family...oh god his brothers, he'll have to call them as soon as he has the chance to and that's going to be a bit of an embarrassing phone-call too but Cilan is okay with that. Because we are Emmet's fiancé(e?) now and everything is beautiful and right with the world???]

Luckily Emmet thought of telling Ingo of his plans before executing them, so that part is something they won't have to worry about. Just the actual wedding itself, and telling Cilan's family.

He pulls away just enough (but not before giving his cheek a little kiss) so he can take Cilan's hand in his own, and then slip the ring onto his finger. ] It fits! [ ...was he expecting it not to?????? ]

but Christmas isn't until next month...actually who cares yay early Christmas gifts

[also you're a subway boss, shouldn't you know better about how not to end up on the wrong train...]

...Were you not expecting it to fit? [Somehow that...doesn't surprise us too much that you were able to buy a ring in our size without even knowing what size to get.] But yes, it does seem to fit. [He even flexes his fingers a little, getting used to the feel of it.] You've certainly picked out a ring with a charming taste to it.

[And then snuggling a little more closer and kissing Emmet was certainly a thing that was happening now too, yes.]

The train is eventually going to end up somewhere but hey, Emmet surely doesn't care right now. This is a much better destination. ♥ ]

But why would we ever want to escape? Cilan seems perfectly fine right where he is now in Emmet's lap, which is obviously the best place to be sitting anyway since it means getting ourselves closer to Emmet to kiss him more...

The train will get to it's destination when it gets there, but right now it's vaguely the furthest thing from his mind at the moment since it's kissing time~]

[ It's not just a normal kissing time, either. It's lots and lots of kissing time, and holding Cilan time, and making Cilan feel like the most special person in the world (because to Emmet he is, sorry Ingo) time.

Eventually the train will begin to slow down as it arrives at the station, but even though Emmet does notice and pull away so they can both talk and breathe, his arms don't loosen their hold on Cilan and he for once basks in the calm and quiet.

If Cilan looks out the window, he'll notice they're in an entirely scenic area, the only building besides the train station being a small and cute little cottage. (Think Howl's Moving Castle.) ]

[Of course--Emmet is our most special person, so we'd only want you to feel the same way as well...

...Huh, the train isn't moving anymore. It almost took him a few seconds to even notice that.]

Ah, it appears we've arrived at our destination... [Yep, that's a bit of a distracting thing from making out with the Subway Boss. Glancing past Emmet to look...oh. Wow, that's quite a nice place. And a cute cottage. u///u] My, it looks like quite a picturesque place! It already feels like it has a striking taste from what I can see here...

You like it? [ Emmet blinks a little, then breaks out into a grin and squeezes him tight. ] You like it! I am happy! Ingo and I thought you would.

[ He'll have to thank him later, that's for sure. But for now he leaves a kiss on Cilan's jaw before standing up on his feet (and, of course, taking Cilan with him but putting him back down on the floor shortly after). ] Let's go! [ let's go let's go let's go let's go ]

Mm, it's dismounting time. [Time to get off the train, alas. But he does take Emmet's hand to hold, smiling cheerfully.]
