We've see it everywhere. Rings inside pokeballs, in cakes, in drinks, during baseball games and more. This meme pinpoints on some of the more interesting (and really adorable!) ways to tell someone you want to spend the restof your life with them!

So how are YOU going to propose to your darling dearest, after being together for so long? Well...

Scenarios:

1. Down on One Knee

Traditionally. Either in public or privately, one of you has taken the daring risk of becoming completely vulnerable in the midst of the other. You've got the perfect ring tucked into your coat jacket, and now all that's left is to see how the other reacts.

2. Cake

After a long, very expensive dinner, all that's left is dessert. In one bite in particular, you feel a hard...something hit your teeth. Upon investigating this strange object, you find a beautiful ring covered in cake in your hand. Look up, and you'll find your significant other looking at you with those adorable goo goo eyes you just love.

3. Fortune Cookie

It's your average night at the local Chinese resturant, nothing too special. And of course, every American knows that a good Chinese meal is never over until you eat the fortune cookie. But on this night, you crackopen your cookie, surprised to find there's a lovely little ring looking back at you. The slip of paper that goes with all fortune cookies reads a simple: "Will you marry me?" (in bed???)

4. During the Game

In the midst of the tired players taking their much earned break at half time, and the seemingly hundreds of birthday wishes flying past on the large screen, one message in particular will stand out to you. " ____ will you marry me?" And when you turn to your lover, heart thumping loudly, you'll see a huge ring presented before you.

5. In a Book

Just a quiet night together, playing some games, reading a few books. Upon locating a particular book, you crack it open, only to find that the pages have been hollowed out, leaving only a beautiful ring, and a delicate note saying "Will you marry me?" in its place.

6. During the Movies

A.k.a MysteryGuitarMan on Youtube's most adorable proposal. You've prepared a little scene at the beginning of the movies, and had the people in charge play in between movie previews. The lights go up, buddy, and now it's your time to shine!

7.One Balloon

Better known as "the most adorable scene in Super Junior's No One music video." You've got tons of balloons, and together you and your honey let them go fly into the sky. But why didn't you let the last one go? I'll say that ring attatched to the end has something to do with it!

8. Anything!

There is no doubt in my mind that I have missed out on some really cute proposals, so make your own up!

[he gives a sheepish smile at the glaring, but relaxes when Re-l brings her attention to the book again. though, his relaxation is short-lived, worry soon filling him as he watches her read the note. he gives a silent gulp, hoping to god that it's not too corny, or not too lame. his fingers twiddle slightly, and he perks slightly when she looks back to him, and he swallows the lump in his throat before giving a small smile.

by the time she looks at the ring, his stomach is doing flip flops, and he gives a shaky chuckle, blush creeping at his face]

I'm... sorry if it was too corny but... everything I said in the note is true... [he reaches for her hand, taking hold of it gently as he looks to her (well, at least tries to...)] So... will you.... will you marry me?

[ She's... oddly struck silent at the idea that Vincent was proposing to her. Vincent Law wanted to marry her - for who knew what reason other than their insane trip through the wastes of this world, and whatever this magnetic pull to each other was. She didn't understand it, wouldn't understand it fully she was sure, and yet....

Inwardly, she was already saying 'yes', wasn't she?

She slowly turns her eyes up to look at him as he grips her hand, silently thinking for a moment longer before the words form and her voice box makes her say it: ]

Yes, I will. [ Wait for it... ]

But I also want to know why my book?

[it takes a moment for Re-l's reply to sink in, though once it finally does, he gives a somewhat surprised look. did she really just... did she just say...

once it finally hits him that she said yes, a smile cracks at his lips. his heart is beating pretty fast right now, stomach still doing flips, though it's mostly due to how happy he is; they were engaged!!!

his happiness is short lived, however, when Re-l brings up her book, and he gives an apologetic look]

Your... oh! Your book... right, well... [he reaches to the drawer of the side table, opening it up and pulling out another book, before looking to Re-l] That was... just an extra copy I got... your book is right here... [...oops]

Oh... Well that's better, then.... [ She smiles softly at how happy he appears right off the bat, handing the box to him and then offering her hand, fingers lax but extended. Being happy, with Vincent, doesn't take a whole lot of effort, particularly when he's smiling like that just at the idea of them being engaged to be married.

And... she feels that familiar fullness in her chest that says she's happy too. ]

Would you like to do the honors?

[his smile from earlier is back, and he takes the box into his hand. he watches as she extends her hand to him, smiling growing even more (if possible) and he nods]

Of course. [pulling the ring out of the box, he sets it into his lap before taking hold of Re-l's hand. slowly, he slips the ring onto her ring finger, happiness filling him way past the brim. once it's securely on her finger, he gently lifts her hand up, leaning down to place a gentle kiss at the back of her hand, before glancing up to her]

[ She smiles at him in return, that dopey look on his face too adorable for his own good. She gives a soft laugh, shaking her head lightly at him even if the expression on her face is fond, maybe even loving, considering it's coming from Re-l Mayer. ]

You're ridiculous.. [ But she's leaning in to kiss him properly anyway. ]

[despite the remark, Vincent's smile grows, and he leans in to return the kiss, hand still gently holding on to her's. when they pull away, he gives a content sigh, scooting closer to her as he reaches down to pick up her book. he hands it to her, a sheepish smile on his lips.]

I'm sorry about upsetting you, by the way... but, this was the only romantic thing I could think of... [okay, so maybe Kristeeva helped him; Re-l doesn't need to know that!!!]

It's alright.. [ Hey, even Re-l can tell when he's really trying and want to keep her happy. It's sweet, really, that he would think to do that, even if she doubts it was entirely his idea, she won't burst his bubble. She looks down, admiring the ring for a moment now that it's on her finger. ]

It wasn't really my book, anyway.... This ring is beautiful, Vincent.

[ Oh hell she's going to kiss you again, mister. ]

Oh... really? Then who's book is it-- [his sentence is stopped midway, as Re-l leans in for another kiss. he's surprised for a split second, but returns it regardless. he hums as the pull away, a soft blush at his cheeks as he finally registers what she said about the ring]

I'm glad you think so... I saw it and instantly thought of you... I knew then that that was the ring...

No, I mean the one you carved out.. [ She chuckles gently, amused at how content and just... is cute the right word? Cute he looks right now with that blush across his cheeks. ]

I wouldn't have thought I'd like blue stones but... they look beautiful next to the clear stones. It makes it unique.

Oh. Right. [and then there's a sheepish chuckle as he scratches the back of his head.]

I thought the same thing... [he takes a moment to admire the ring as well before glancing up to her once more] ... and that's also why I thought of you when I saw it.

[ She can't help the smile spreading across her face as he says that, a little sheepish and yet not. She's always known that she was created in some perfect image, but the fact that Vincent, who'd actually wanted her for being.. Re-l instead of Monad.. was saying it.. made it all the more special in the moment.

She leans in for another soft, sweet kiss, smiling softly. ]

I'm glad I was the one you thought of..

[there's a fluttering feeling in Vincent's stomach, as Re-l leans in for the kiss, and he eagerly returns it, a light blush on his cheeks again as they pull away. despite the blush, though, he's giving a soft smile as well, his hand moving to entwine with hers]

You're the only one I think of, really... at least... when it comes to stuff like this...

Good. And if we're getting married you should keep it that way.

[ Or else a very possessive Re-l would have to get very mad and smash some things that you like, Vincent. Still, she looks remarkably... peaceful, happy, at the idea of them getting married, and leans closer to kiss him one more time. It couldn't hurt, after all, since he'd just proposed to her. ]

Then I suppose we're going to more or less live out your dreams with Swann, aren't we?

[Vincent gives a sheepish laugh at that. though there's no need to worry Re-l; you were the only girl for him to begin with...

he eagerly returns the kiss, a similar happiness and peaceful expression shining in his own eyes as well. he certainly felt like the happiest guy on the planet...

though that comment makes him blush dlskkldgj]

Yeah... it looks like it! [embarrassing, but he's still happy. fight him.]

[ As much as Re-l detested the artificial affections from people like Daedalus and the 'adoring' public of Romdeau, Vincent expressing affection like this.... let's just say it doesn't go unnoticed. Usually she would toss it away with a roll of her eyes and an exasperated sigh, but now she just... half-smiles and accepts it.

(Half smiles, because, well, they're still working on the whole Re-l being able to smile thing.)

She looks down at her shiny new ring, half wondering where he got the means to get it and... partially not caring, so long as it belonged to her and no other girl in their vicinity. ]

.. When did you decide, though? When you wanted to do this, I mean..

[he fidgets slightly, somewhat shy at the idea of mentioning all of this, but... he pushes it away]

I... really hadn't intended on doing all of this really. I mean... it was something I always wanted, yeah, but I hadn't really considered it. At least not at the moment. But... well... it wasn't until I found the ring that I knew I wanted to do it... [he twiddles his thumbs, the blush from earlier growing a bit]</small.

[ Vincent, your cute is showing. Still, she gives his hand a little squeeze, the small smile from before growing just a little bit more at his story. To know that he hadn't, you know, contrived this whole thing for a long time, and had just been typical Vincent and sort of let things fall in to place....

Yes, this was where she belonged, whether she understood the pull that brought them together or not. ]

So as usual unplanned, but sweet. ... Thank you, Vincent, for.. not being so contrived and trivial as other people..

[for a moment, he wonders if it was bad that he had done this all on a whim, but the gentle squeeze and smile Re-l gives him is enough to tell him that it's not, and he smiles in return]

You're welcome... [and this time, he's going to be the one leaning in for a small kiss]

[ And she'll definitely indulge him, leaning in for that little kiss, and then taking one for herself. As she pulls away she bites her lip, though whether it's because she's sheepish or... planning something is debatable. ]

Should we tell Kristeeva to distract Pino for us, tonight?

[he hums as she steals another kiss, though the look is enough to make him wonder what's wrong.

[ Good. She leans in for another little kiss, leaning against him as they sit together. She gestures for him to join her on the couch. ]

Sure. [with that said, he stands, moving to sit next to her on the couch, arm moving to wrap around her as he pulls her closer]
