We've see it everywhere. Rings inside pokeballs, in cakes, in drinks, during baseball games and more. This meme pinpoints on some of the more interesting (and really adorable!) ways to tell someone you want to spend the restof your life with them!

So how are YOU going to propose to your darling dearest, after being together for so long? Well...

Scenarios:

1. Down on One Knee

Traditionally. Either in public or privately, one of you has taken the daring risk of becoming completely vulnerable in the midst of the other. You've got the perfect ring tucked into your coat jacket, and now all that's left is to see how the other reacts.

2. Cake

After a long, very expensive dinner, all that's left is dessert. In one bite in particular, you feel a hard...something hit your teeth. Upon investigating this strange object, you find a beautiful ring covered in cake in your hand. Look up, and you'll find your significant other looking at you with those adorable goo goo eyes you just love.

3. Fortune Cookie

It's your average night at the local Chinese resturant, nothing too special. And of course, every American knows that a good Chinese meal is never over until you eat the fortune cookie. But on this night, you crackopen your cookie, surprised to find there's a lovely little ring looking back at you. The slip of paper that goes with all fortune cookies reads a simple: "Will you marry me?" (in bed???)

4. During the Game

In the midst of the tired players taking their much earned break at half time, and the seemingly hundreds of birthday wishes flying past on the large screen, one message in particular will stand out to you. " ____ will you marry me?" And when you turn to your lover, heart thumping loudly, you'll see a huge ring presented before you.

5. In a Book

Just a quiet night together, playing some games, reading a few books. Upon locating a particular book, you crack it open, only to find that the pages have been hollowed out, leaving only a beautiful ring, and a delicate note saying "Will you marry me?" in its place.

6. During the Movies

A.k.a MysteryGuitarMan on Youtube's most adorable proposal. You've prepared a little scene at the beginning of the movies, and had the people in charge play in between movie previews. The lights go up, buddy, and now it's your time to shine!

7.One Balloon

Better known as "the most adorable scene in Super Junior's No One music video." You've got tons of balloons, and together you and your honey let them go fly into the sky. But why didn't you let the last one go? I'll say that ring attatched to the end has something to do with it!

8. Anything!

There is no doubt in my mind that I have missed out on some really cute proposals, so make your own up!

[ Kanaya isn't quite sure if broaching the subject of quadrants with the human girl she's been sharing space with on the asteroid is really appropriate. And she isn't really sure if she can quite align TentacleTherapist with the strange, pink-skinned, all-together far too pale girl. As if Kanaya could talk about being pale, though. So she fiddles with her current project awkwardly until she can work up the fortitude to look over at the other girl. ]

[Living on an asteroid isn't all that bad. Especially when the asteroid comes equipped with living quarters and everything else they're going to need for the next three years. Of course, when you're (almost) immortal, it changes your perspective. But Rose likes to think she's stayed relatively grounded despite the amazing ability of foresight she's picked up along the way. She glances up from the book she's been poring over and arches a brow at Kanaya]

Yes? What is it?

[ Now how was she to proceed? She had gotten Rose's attetion, now she just needed to bring the subject up. Somehow. She coughs and delicately clears her throat to buy a few moments to gather her thoughts. ]

I am curious.

How do humans deal with flushed feelings? That is to say, the red quadrant?

[Oh, Kanaya. Rose liked to think she was good at reading people (and was, in certain respects) and the troll girl was fairly transparent. Well, in a certain sense, anyway. Rose sets her book down so she put her full attention on Kanaya, looking slightly amused.]

Kanaya, I'm a human. I don't think I'll understand your hideously, needlessly complicated romance anymore than you would.

[kanayashrug]

[ Oh. Of course. How could she expect a human girl to realistically offer decent advice or even pretend to? Especially Rose. Obviously this line of approach had not been well thought through. ]

Oh.

I suppose not. What would you do, however, were you in a situation where you were attracted to someone?

You need to specify, Kanaya. Physically? Mentally? Am I lost in the throes of impassioned lust? Is it a passing fancy or is a love for the ages that will see me pining away for them?

[kanayashrug]

If you were capable of such emotions, I suppose that you might gather together the first two categories. I've yet to experience the third.

True. My heart is far too shriveled and blackened by bitter experience to ever deal with such paltry emotions. I'm afraid I can't offer you any advice, in that case!

[kanayashrug]

Suppose a theoretical situation, where your vascular sac remained unshriveled and unblackened.

[ This is straying away from romance and into snarky horseshit. This was, as far as Kanaya could tell, extremely normal. ]

Well, I'll try. But only because I'm curious as to where your hypothetical situation is leading us. A veritable labyrinth.

[Rose shrugs.]

I suppose, if pressed, I would admit my feelings to them, if only to get it out of the way and to ascertain if the other reciprocated my feelings at all.

If I could feel such emotions, anyway.

[kanayashrug]

Which we have established you cannot.

[ Kanaya coughs delicately into her sleeve. Tries to figure out what she's to say next. This is the difficult part, isn't it? ]

I am unsure as how to approach the object of my affections. I must confess I lack experience in this delicate and unstable field.

Well, I'm not in a much better position than you are with regards to experience with confessions of affection. No help for you here.

[kanayashrug]

How unfortunate, I suppose I shall have to plunge onwards without guidance in the treacherous pathways of romance.

[ Now what would she do? She fidgets and lapses into an awkward silence. ]

If it's any consolation, I'm reasonably sure that's how everyone approaches it.
