still, she's going to make a token effort to perpetuate the snark even though she'd rather curl up and die. her feeble voice makes it sound more pathetic than anything, but hopefully he'll be kind enough to ignore that.]

I'm a little offended that you received your nursing license and never informed me. I'd have at least thrown a little party for you.

even through the haze of illness it's obvious that he's either caught her bug or had the worst timing for his own malady ever. it's troubling, both for the obvious reason and the fact that he still seems intent on ministering to her. the implications of that are kind of uncomfortable.]

Considering that you can't even keep yourself uncontaminated, I'd think so.

[dryly. it's almost a relief that he's so visibly ill - it makes arguing him into not killing himself with fussing that much easier and less likely to be interpreted as genuine concern. because it's so not. at all. ok maybe a little]

[there is absolutely nothing sincere, meaningful, or tender about them cuddled up and attempting to enforce behavior that will cause the other to recover faster. not even a little bit. it's all a cruel mockery meant to injure delicate feelings.
