► Another character replies and is struck with the sudden urge to take care of them (bringing them soup, extra blankets, Sudafed, sexual healing, what have you).

All of the ews, yes, but the damage is done and you are no longer snotty. Or, well, your hand isn't. [ He balls that up rather quickly and tosses it, rubbing his fingers together on that hand while the other returns to John's back, slow circles picking back up again. ]

... yeah, I'll give it a go for you. Mean, it's boiling water and I graduated from microwave soup, so. I've got this. [ Dave you are a loser, but damn it all you try. Quickly leans in to press a kiss to his temple, before weaseling his way from John before he stays there forever. ] Should try eating some of that after we get tea into you, speaking of.

[ofbreath]

[Gives him a sort of withering look, leaning into the circles a little.]

[And he looks a touch green at soup being brought up.] God, not right now. I would get more than snot everywhere.

[oftime]

[ The withering look doesn't bother him all that much, but the green one does. So he just shakes his head and brings his hand up to the back of John's neck for a moment to seep in some coolness there. ]

Then, yeah, definitely a while after tea is consumed. I'll be back, okay?

[ofbreath]

[Exhales on a sort of bluh sound, and lays over on his side once Dave has moved away.]

Mmn. Thanks, Dave.

[ Once he's flopped onto his side, he leans in over him to bump his nose into his temple before he absconds off to the kitchen. At least he's figured out how the stove works, and is a competent enough human being to boil water without ruining everything.

Aw yeah, tea he can do. And tea he will eventually bring back. ]

[ofbreath]

[John's sort of half-conscious, and it's the steam from the mug of tea that makes him sit back up more than anything. He makes a kind of wordless grunting sound, propping himself up against the wall with a faint smile.]

My Knight in Shining Armor.

Always. I picked what sounded like the healthiest thing in there, so.

[ Dave settles himself on the edge of the bed again, turning the mug around in his hands so that John can take the handle of the proffered tea. ]

[ofbreath]

Mmmn. I don't really care so long as it's warm. [He takes the tea and kind of huddles around it.]

[oftime]

Super warm. [ While John huddles around the tea, he moves the pillows around and bundles up some blankets around his shoulders so he can be a burrito of warmth. ]

[ofbreath]

[Mmm Johnburrito. He smiles a little.]
