[ Chinning John's head, he itches himself that way for good measure. Lazy and oh, hi, suddenly he's got the responsibility of All The Cuddles. Better live up to those expectations, tugging him in cosily. ]

[He kind of drapes himself sideways over Dave and continues to burrow.] And you are so comfy.

[ No arguments here, platonic snugglings are something that can happen in Dave's world. As are super duper platonic-as-shit kisses to foreheads. ]

[ Snorting, he tickles behind an ear without moving from idly watching Nic Cage continue to be a tool. ]

Hitting on you implies I need to get a ticket to travel to make-out city, who says I'm not already a resident biding my time until it's kiss o'clock? If this was a movie, I'd ravish your unsuspecting mouth and you'd get all surprised and suddenly-maybe-homosexual for me because we're so tight, all these confusing feels flying around.

[ And because they're so comfy with each other, he paps him on a blanketed ass. ]

[He chuckles quietly and just kind of. Lets him do what he's gonna do. Dave is really confusing when you're running a really high fever.]

Wow, yeah, okay. Whatever, dude. Too many words, right now.

[ Ducking his chin, he kisses John on the cheek with a hand pawing through his hair, cradling him still for a few brief seconds. That done, he goes back to watching the film. ]

Loud and clear.

i sort of lack a sleeping icon so this works for now i guess!!!

Mmmnhgh.

[And John kind of stays stilled after Dave cradles him that way, and watches maybe a full thirty seconds of the movie before he just flops against his chest and is basically out like an extinguished candle.]

[He'll wake up later and be really confused, probably.]

[ There's some stealthy scooting going on once John's out for the count, Dave sliding them both down to the bed so he doesn't get cramp, curling an arm around his best friend's waist as he nuzzles a warm scalp. The remaining blankets on the bed are flopped backwards over them and the TV is switched off to lend a peaceful silence, shades folded away on the bedside table.

John's back is insanely hot so he slides a palm under that shirt to rest against the dip, lulled into napping by the warmth and contentment. Unironic, all of it. ]
