... but they do need help sometimes, and given that Sapphire had more or less helped to save his life by getting him out of his petrified state, the least Green can do is watch over her recovery from this illness.

But she better not even think of saying a word about the fact that he's wearing an apron when he brings in a bowl of vegetable soup. He made the damn stuff, and he didn't want it splashing on his clothes, okay? ]

[Sapphire's not really in any state to be complaining right now. Her immune system is usually iron-tough, but even it doesn't know what to do with weird foreign viruses picked up from Kantonian tourists at the Battle Frontier. She's been out of action for a day now, a day spent dragging herself around in a grouchy haze until someone told her to get in bed and stay there.

Bah.

Not that she'd prefer being up and about, at this point. Her head hurts and her throat is raw and everything seems kind of dull and faraway...]

Mmmnnrmmgn.

[Give her a minute to crawl out of her lump of sheets, Green.]

[ If there's one thing Green was always good at, it was being self-sufficient. Even in his bratty younger years, he got by on nobody's skills but his own (with rare exception, in extreme circumstances). Cooking and first aid are only a few of the skills he had to get a grip on, and while this may not technically count as first aid it's close enough.

He sets the bowl down on the bedside table as she fumbles with the sheets, promptly turning to exit the room - no, he's not saying "fuck this" and leaving, he's just getting a cool damp washcloth, something to put on her forehead when she finally emerges from her cocoon.

Aaaaaaany second now. ]

[Okay, there we go - and it's cold out here, what the hell. Sapphire shivers for a moment before the feeling of groggy warmth returns, reaching up to rub at her eyes. She sniffs, trying to see what just got set down near her, but instead of being useful it's just loud.]

[ ... wow she is definitely worse than he thought. He... he might have his work cut out for him, but so be it. He said he'd help her on the road to recovery, and he's not going to back down on his word.

He hesitates for only a moment before moving closer to the bedside, propping some of the pillows up against the headboard. ]

Try to sit up a little bit.

[ His voice is somewhere between commanding and... well, not gentle because when is Green gentle, but reassuring, maybe. ]

[Blink...blink, huh? Oh, sitting up. Sapphire can do that.

Once she's up, she looks around properly (if still groggily), sniffing again.]

Huh...Senior Green...?

[...She looks a little embarrassed now.]

[ He simply nods, picking up the damp cloth to drape it on her forehead. ]

Yeah. I'm going to help you get back on your feet.

[ He glances towards the soup - ah, better double-check with her first. ]

Can you eat, or do you have an upset stomach?

[That feels nice. It makes it easier to focus, too, somehow.]

Don' think I do...ain't really hungry.

[Which shouldn't be surprising. She still needs to eat, though.]

[ He's well aware. A lot of what he's doing here is from experience - Daisy used to do the same things for him when he got sick as a kid. True, he's never actually applied them himself until now, but whatever.]

It may not feel like you are, but your body still needs some nutrition. You're not going to get better by starving.

[ He picks the bowl up from the table - it's still hot, and he doesn't want her to accidentally spill it in her condition, so... ]

I'll hold the bowl. Just take a few bites.

You already looked awful, but you feel pretty awful too.]
