You heard me. [ Yuri tries not to snap or roll her eyes over-much, but god it's impossible to ignore how obviously Jabu's trying to reboot his brain.

She's sitting on the edge of her (almost entirely unused - for paperwork, at least) desk, legs and arms crossed in front of her, chin held uncharacteristically high. ]

[Brain is not rebooting. Not even a little bit. This isn't even a thing Jabu had considered. He's staring like he should he be able to tell already just by looking, like maybe he can stare this information into making sense.]

[ Ah, right, that is why she had started fooling around with Jabu in the first place - occasionally, his idiocy is endearing. Also because it's fun to make him squirm, but for once that wasn't Yuri's plan. ]

Yes, really, [ she snaps again, but it's a little less annoyed this time. Jabu is, for once, raising a good point. ] And I don't yet. It won't be a problem for a while, at least. [ She deflates a little, for a moment looking less like her usual cocky self and a lot more like a Captain with a lot on her mind. ] I'll figure something out.

[Chalk a vulnerable Captain up on the list of things Jabu doesn't know what to do with. What he really wants is to turn right around and leave this cabin - go down to the cargo hold and find a sandbag to punch the shit out of until his head clears, or maybe a solution drops from the sky. It's a tempting prospect - how much can the Captain really want him around right now, anyway?

...But, well. Shit. He didn't stop being First Mate just because he knocked up the Captain. It's... it's his duty to stay here and help.]
