Aha! Yes, I have a good one. I was working on an excavation of some ruins. Some old summer home of some old lord or some such. Either way, we had an issue with workers disappearing. Not sign of a struggle or bloodshed. Just gone without a trace.
I must've searched that surrounding wood for some sort of creature's den a dozen times! As it turns out, they were safe and sound inside the ruins.
Apparently, the court wizard of that lord had created mimics to defend the place from robbers. Except the mimics had grown less... hostile in their time in isolation. So instead of eating anyone, they were casting sleep on them and keeping them scattered around their room like stuffed animals.
We had to call in experts to get the mimics out and to somewhere safe and to release those they had taken, but as disappearances go that was a fine resolution for everybody.
